what do you think

I had an interesting conversation with a fellow pagen today, she has been practacing for more that eight years and is in her words a "good witch, like in the wizard of oz" she also said that she feel strange because she is allergic to cats, I was wondering what you all think about that, a witch allergic to cat? I dont think it makes a difference, if this is the path you have chossen, ans your practice is strong, then this should not affect you, so what do you all think, is it strange? or is it okay? blessings to all

I don't think one has anything to do with the other. IMO Paganism is a lot more than magic and spells... it is a lifestyle choice. We follow in the path of the Goddeesses/Gods and have a passion for nature and most of the things nature is. That doesn't mean there are not things in nature we abhor, or in your friends case are allergic to. I have seasonal allergies... allergic to many different pollens and of all things... grass. That doesn't mean I am less of a Pagan witch because I break out in hives when I mow the lawn. lol

first of al,,,,, a witch is a witch,,,,,,,,,the only Good witch is in the wizard of oz,,,,, and most that refer to this is more so putting light to the word witch to soften the word,,,, as to a christain,,, but i'm a good witch or just the same as a white witch,,,, if you have studied the craft long enough she should no this,,,, as to the cat,,,,,lol... i'm still laughing,,,,,,,some people are just allergic to cats,,, dogs,,, ect,,,plants,,,this does not mean you aren't a witch, it just means you have allergies,,,,,,, to me it seems your friend has read books,, ect,, but really does not understand the concept "witch"

it shouldn't matter if she's allergic to cats or not a familiar can be any animal or spirit so she shouldn't feel bad about anything as long as she is true to the craft and knows who she is and what she believes then she is a true wiccan i know other pagans who have studied 10 to 20 years and r allergic to cats or dogs so don't worry about it it just means her familiar is something different it doesn't always have to be a cat blessed be
