well I have just found a book I wanted for many years 1970 book by Raymond Buckland hard cover " Ancient & Modern Witchcraft : the truth about witchcraft by a witch and High priest " So I am going to read it cover to cover and if need be ask Raymond himself what he is going to change in his new version as he is going to send to re-print this book Will keep posting

I recently bought a book called The Book Of Magic from antiquity to the enlightenment by Brian Copenhaver. Its about the people in history that practiced magic and what they were trying to achieve and the techniques used.I find the book a good read but at times can be confusing.

For my eternal sadness, i can't read wicca books, because i can't find them online. i'm blind, my parents don't know about the thing that i'm pagan, and i'm blind, so i can't read them, but...i finished in a week or so Harry potter series, and more other fantassy books...

"D'aulaires' Book of Norse Myths", & "D'aulaires' Book of Greek Myths" are excellent if anybody is interested in the Norse or Greek gods. Yes, they're considered to be childrens books, but they both have all of the stories associated w/the Norse & Greek gods. The books are also quite big, which makes the illistrations even better.

I shouldn't post twice, but I forgot about 2 other great books about Wiccan & Pagan history. One is "The Barbarian Conversion. From Paganism to Christianity" by Richard Fletcher, & the other is titled "Julian" by Gore Vidal. "Julian" is fiction, but it has a lot of history in it. I thought both books were great & both are in most county libraries.

"God Against the Gods" by Jonathan Kirsch is a great book if anyone is interested in reading about all of the travisty which went into keeping people from being Wiccan or Pagan. The book is 336 pages & available in many libraries. It was a bit brutal, but I'm glad I read it.

i know they may not be "pagan" or "wiccan," but the first four or five Carlos Castaneda books on The Teachings of Don Juan are excellent at teaching you to see, sense and manipulate the other realities that exist all around us, mostly unseen and unacknowledged. I started with the second, A Separate Reality, and it blew my mind. But, to quote Malaclypse the Younger, "'tis an ill wind that blows no minds."
