Merry Meet, I am new to this site, & I have found people here are very helpful. & thank you (Rene Louise Knighten) I will remember if i need help on a question I will ask you. what first brought me to the celtic heritage was my grandmother, i know alot about wicca, but i am a bit hazy on the celtic's beliefs. I studied their Runes & Ogham & also the Tree of life, but other than that I am Unsure & Would love to learn more about it.
Thank you

Merry Meet..Was wondering why there has not been any activity on this page in awhile...everyone seems to have questions but no one will ask them and then when they do noone will reply...so here is a question whats the point in having a group if no one is going to be replying or asking questions or just checking on people in general...I have a real heart to help anyone who needs it...but when i offer no one seems to respond that includes those that have asked for help...there is nothing wrong in asking for help or asking a questions...the only dumb question is the one not asked. So for all who are on this page...Please lets start getting active in this page...there are alot of different heritages that have yet to be discovered and there are alot of new people on here who need direction...so lets help who we can. Blessed Be to All and Merry Part...

I am new to the path of Wicca but I am of irish/scott descent and I would love to learn more about my people's culture and in turn, my beliefs as a celtic pagan.

Merry Meet! I'm new to this site, and this group caught my eye. I have been following the Celtic path since childhood, and am leading my children along the path. I am Celtic by heritage, being Scott/Irish. I hope everyone is having a Blessed Yule!

Hello. I'm new to this website and this way of life i have been wiccan for about 6 months now. I'm solitary because i don't know any other fellow wiccans. I grew up christan and it never seemed right. I found out about Wicca through my research ( I was researching vampires for a novel i'm working on) i felt drawn to it i looked it up and now here i am. I've always been drawn towards the celtic tradition so it seems fit that i'd be Celtic Wiccan.
Like i said i'm new and i have much to learn any help would be wonderful!
Thanks!

THE BATTLE FOR THE--WINTER

The misty dawn has broken on this shortest day.
The Holly King, in winter's green, is ready for the fray.
For half a year the leafy crown has rested on his brow.
To take the crown and cut him down is his brother's vow.

For six long months he ruled within his forest hold.
Throughout his reign, the foliate king, felt himself grow old.
The crown of leaves grew heavy still, the end was in his sight.
His weapons honed and armor shone, he readied for the fight.

The younger king was born, to issue challenge bold.
And take his place, with youthful grace, his brow to wear the gold.
His battle skills sharpened, the verdant crown, is his by right.
With shield of yew and sword new he went forth to show his might.

Twin brothers take the field, to battle for the crown.
The steal blades sing, they fight to bring each other to the ground.
With fatal strike the crown of green falls from his regal head.
He's proved his worth, the blood pours forth, his brother lies there dead.

The misty dawn has broken on this longest day.
The Oaken King, in summer's green, is ready for the fray.
For half a year the leafy crown has rested on his brow.
To take the crown and cut him down is his brother's vow.

Hello! I'm new to this group and this site. I've considered myself pagan since my early teen years. I'm 39 now and looking for a path. The Celtic traditions seem to appeal to me most. I don't know why, maybe because of my Scotch/Irish heritage, but it was what I feel most "drawn" toward. I don't know much about it, but am looking forward to learning as much as I can.

I know Celts are notoriously long winded and could weave a story that was so detailed it would take days to figer it out. Yet I can't anyone in here to talk. What do I have to do dress in drag and do the hula? :) Come on folks use your voices.
