Comment by sharon on April 5, 2012 at 2:01am I do alot of traveling and am away from family and friends for long periods of time (Im in Saudi at present). I find that when I get lonely and homesick I pick a stone that speaks to me and hold it in my palms while I sit in a quiet place and meditate. Generally its outdoors in the elements and afterwards loved ones feel much closer and I feel more at peace and happier within myself. Hope it helps you.
hello does any one know how to help dealing with a long term relationship? i love my boyfriend and he plans to move up here in a year but the pain of being apart tears at me

Comment by sharon on September 2, 2011 at 11:43am Opalite is great for stress. I used it a lot while having to write exams and now keep my little helper close when works been a killer. Its good at opening all those blocked pathways and with the release of blockages the old cobwebs leave and you can get going again. Ive never used it for psychic curgery though but it makes sence.
Schorl sounds like a good one but Im a bit concerned that it may clash with the silver. Im a bit siensitive to vibrations of energies and a permanent headache is not a good thing! Maby the concerns are groundless but a dry run may be in order with my trusty silver locket.
Thanks for the thoughts any others to add to the list is appreciated.
Comment by Driretlan on September 1, 2011 at 7:25pm Another one to consider is schorl - black tourmaline. It reflects negativity back to its source and protects from EMI. I, too, collected an opalite, Padawan - I have yet to really use it, but I think it could be good with assisting with psychic surgery.

Comment by sharon on August 14, 2011 at 7:24am Hay Padawan you just got to love our "religion" as recycling occurs over and over - nothing goes to waste!! I find that although smooth stones work well the rough cuts tend to give a bit of extra "oomph" to my magic and they work great as talismins and trinkets. Ive got a rough edged quartz that I use as a "knife" when I have to cut into candle wax for fire spells and Ive found that theres a lot less negativity floating about. Some would disagree (rather strongly) but it works for me and that is what counts. Even my brat of a cat settles down for a purr rather than trying to swat them dead. your probably asking what my familiar is doing in my circle - I dont know ask her, she seems to think its her right to be there!!
And yes I know about the discussion boards but they are a pain to navigate through
Comment by sharon on August 14, 2011 at 7:13am The "pool" is big enough for 2 or so but then it gets a bit crowded come spring time so I head for the petshop. They generally stay below water line and learn not to fall onto the table when Im not home to stop the drying out process. I tried those tiny little "guppies" with the bright tales once but they got caught in the filter and it turned messy!
I do alot of water magic with it and it seems to work if I scale things down a bit. I still prefer the ocean breezes and open air but beggers can't be choosers. I take it outside to do my magic out in the open where I feel free from indoor "staleness" and it generally restores some of the balance within and without. The water nymphs like it too - I had the feeling they were a bit disatisfied with the hosepipe as it now rather mysteriously has a hole in it.
