shadowcat I first of all have been pagan for 12 years. 2nd there in no problem with venting and third i was merely stating the simple fact that not all Christians are bogus. (same can be said about other religions, for there are positive and negative aspects in all religions in general.) I felt the need to post that for it was almost sounding as if there were only negative aspects about Christians. This may sound like a leap, but personally I think that if we show understanding for people/ groups whether they be Buddhist. Christian Pagan, or even Pluralism (etc. etc.) then we spread less hate. Further more if they were just venting I wish that they would have stated so. So therefor to all of the people who were just "venting" as Shadowcat pointed out I do so apologize, for that is your right to do so, but for the others that are not my message still stands. we need to spread peace not animosity towards others even if they have different beliefs.

cameron you are the one who needs to relax, after all the bullshit we have to endure from the cristians we need a place to vent our frustrations about it and even though you claim to be pagan you still sound like an arrogant christian, we (at least all the pagans i know) are a very understang people we don't call others evil because they choose to believe something we don't believe and most of us don't preach about being the "only way" to find happiness both daily and spiritually but in the end i think you forget we are human too and need to express ourselves and this is a place to do that

hello all..I was originally Christian and am pagan now....Honestly I hope people understand that not all Christians are like that or bad people. Heck I have met a few Mormons who don't believe I am going to hell at all.(guess that shows some hope in this world lol ) That said get your panties out of being in a bunch and relax. Shouldn't this site be free from persecution in general?

If you guys have anything to add, please comment on the "What are Warlords?" discussion. I would like to hear what you have to say about Warlords in general.

There's certainly a lot to debate on this topic of Christians. My personal experience within the Christian church when I was a member was that ALL of the people in the church agreed that there should be national laws passed making it illegal to have an abortion, illegal to use any drugs that aren't made and marketed by the big pharma, illegal to commit adultery, illegal to have sex before marriage, illegal to teach children anything Pagan, illegal to drink, sell or purchase alcohol on Sunday, illegal to sell alcohol anywhere near a church, illegal to have homosexual sexual relations, illegal to marry someone of the same sex, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. If you look, they were successful on most of those things. I know that there are Christians out there who don't agree with some of those things, but they are few and far between and they do nothing to change the laws to reflect the beliefs and rights of non Christians. I'm not talking about Christian Fundamentalists. I'm talking about Catholics, Episcopalians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christian sects. It is a misperception that only the Fundamentalists want laws against things that their churches teach are wrong. The entire Christian religion is based on the idea of sin and they are determined, as a world wide group of people, to make sure that they "protect" us all from our sinful ways and make sure that none of them have to see us committing these "sins" by passing laws that make these "sins" a criminal offense. I think we've become so used to these religious laws that are on the books that we don't really recognize them as being RELIGIOUS LAWS.
I too have Christian friends who are good, kind, people and who believe in live and let live. But, there is not one single one of them who doesn't believe that most of the laws I listed above should be the law. And there is not one single one of them who doesn't believe that all Pagans are evil people, destined for their Hell.

you are right, layla christians think their better than EVERYBODY! and thats some arrogant, self-centered shit! theirs not verry many people that i dont like, but i think christians are #1. like i said before, i dont like to hate but thoes people bring the worst out of me. what i hate the most is how they tell everyone "if you dont follow the 'good book' and the words of christ, you are destined to an eternity in hell" i say f-u-c-k-that! what kind of person do they warship any way? its not like their god is 'all forgiving'. if you dont believe, your going to hell. thats it. we dont go around preaching paganism or wicca. so what gives them the right to preach to people and try converting people? christians really boil my blood! i guess my problem is that i know too much history about them.

She was in a bad situation, but that doesn't mean she wasn't out of line. All christians seem to think they are better than us. I probably would've said the same thing to her, or at least something close to that. And, like you, I would've felt bad for it when i found what had happened to her. But she judged you and you stood your ground. What she said had nothing to do with what happened to her, and what you said had nothing to do with it either. I really don't believe you should beat yourself up at all. You did what you had to do. Blessed be.
