They will get there - just need time to sort out the alpha status of their household which Ive discovered cold take a lifetime of staring and inhouse fighting.  But get there they do eventually

Little opportunists but you gotta love them all the same.

Yes, I agree with all of you. The cats own the house and they let me stay there, provided I leave food in the dish and fresh water everyday. I have pics on my page, check them out.

I'm new here, but we have 18 feline family members, We live where animals get abandoned and owners move away and leave their animals behind. We also have several who are wild fire refugees from the Willow Fire about 10 years ago.

Almost all are exclusively indoors, except for my three. Dino and Bella go in and out and Figgy is still part feral and mostly out.

My personal senior advisor is Dino, a gray tabby. I tell people that I am HIS familiar, and I respect the relationship in that sense. I have three that are my personal babies, the others are Bella and Figaro (Figgy or Figs).

I'm in the living room currently, and Nellie is helping me type by lying on my right arm, purring and doing poofies on me.

It's good to meet you all.

Cats choose and own the house - period.  They rule the roost and humans just have to fit in or they get the stare.  My Morgans Very good at that!  Ive seen her stare down the neighbours dog and he is a rotweiler.  As for me I fit into her life just fine after she gets over the sulks and hears all the news of my running around.  Shes never truely far away in truth as I see her a lot when I meditate and she always leads me home.

Ive 1 brat called Morgan named after the bane of Merlins life Morgan Le Fay but the name was to long for the vet certificate so got abreviated. Name fits as shes full of pride and mischiefs attached itself firmly to her tail follows her around. Shes sulking at the moment as mothers globe trotting and left her at home with the parents (again)
