My son is 5 mos old. and almost due for his next immunization shots. My sons father is an organic Gardener and we are very uneasy about him getting shots from the hospital. What did they do before they had the shots ya know?! If anyone has any knowledge on the matter, anything natural/herbal that would stand in for the vaccines from the doctor, please let me know! Our baby boy has not had one symptom of any kind of sickness, not even a diaper rash, Im breastfeeding and we try to eat as healthy as possible, so I know there is something other than these shots that could prevent sickness. Thanks for you help!

Donna, I think that is awesome! I wanted to do something similar with my son Liam. I think its very important that we give thanks to our mothers but above all the Mother that we All have, Without her we wouldnt be. Have a great mothers day!

Happy Mothers Day to everyone! I was wondering whether anyone here takes the opportunity of Mothers Day to show the children a small ritual to honor our Mother, The Earth. I plan to take my grand daughter out to the garden and have her plant a perennial flower to honor Mother Earth today. Too often, I think, Mothers Day is simply a holiday that helps retailers to sell more cards, flowers, nightgowns, etc. I would like for my family to have some special activity that can be a tradition with our family and that's what I decided would be non-commercial and meaningful. Does anyone else think this is appropriate?

What an apt metaphor, Lunashadow," like a warm embrace"! That's how I felt when I discovered there was a name for how I felt and people who felt the same.
. I have 6 children, but only two are still at home, girls ages 16 and 11.
It was those two who were telling me,"you're such a pagan "(in a nice way) even before I acknowledged it myself. My only regret is not having expressed my beliefs more positively with the older children. They got the idea that I had no beliefs because I didn't train them in what they could recognize as a religious practice. This is not to say that I wasn't instilling ethics in my own way. Today, the oldest, my son, is atheist, as is my stepdaughter who was primarily raised by her evangelical Christian mother. My two older girls joined the orthodox church their paternal aunt attends: the oldest being serious, the younger I think just likes to feel part of a group. My two youngest daughters are agnostic. but enjoy Pagan celebrations. I wish I'd had access to communities like this when they were young.

hi i have 3 kid aged 11 ,8 ,2 and i never push anything onto them as my parents never with me my mother is protestant and my dad is roman catholic but they never went to church or chapel but my kids over the years have asked me all about my way of life as they do and they just took an interest their selves they learn about religeon at school here but arent made to believe in anything they dont want to its good to be educated on other religeons and ways of life as we are all equal and thats what our ancestors used to believe too but unfortunately religeon tends to cause problems nowadays think thats why my parents decided to let us choose our on paths and since i found my path i havbe never looked back and i know whatever my kids want to be in life i would support them all the way havin ur own freewill is the most important thing u can pass on to a child giving them a big picture of life and saying to them its yours and you can decide what way it hangs.xx

I am the mother of 3 beautiful daughters ages 13, 10 and 8. My 2 older girls want to study the path but my 8 year old is unsure and I put no pressure on her to choose. She is only 8. I am looking forward to meeting other mothers in the craft.
