Being Wiccan, I Ask for the spirits of the North, South, East and West with their atributes for me to enter my circle. Then I ask the spirit of the goddess to be present. On my alter I have small candles for each directions and rocks, shells, crystals a small caudron,a knife(anthame) and pictures I treasure for one reason or another. Especially dear to me are some oak nuts (acorns) on small brances I picked up in Delphi, Greece. The laureel and the oak were very sacred trees in ancient Greece.
