Visitation Rites

This week, we talk about Aliens - Extraterestials.

I want to say at the start that I really don't believe in aliens. At least, I'm a doubter - a strong doubter.

Here's what I believe:

I have no doubt that in this vast universe there must be other Intelligent life forms. And, just because we, at our current stage of developement, can't reach them, doesn't mean that they can't reach us - by whatever means they may have.

But the evidence of alien contact is, to me, too soft - giving way to rumor-mongering, paranoia and inuendo. And when I hear explanations as to why aliens are among us - from their fears that our technology is getting out of hand to our fears that they want to enslave us - all of the patterns just seem to point back to our own nightmares, our own insecurities - our own wish for a "Daddy-God" to either punish us or somehow save us from ourselves.

But, that being said, I'll just add that if YOU are an alien - well, just because I don't believe in you doesn't mean that you don't exist!

We'll start by taking a short look at aliens in Earth's ancient history. Then we'll talk about The Reptillians and the Men in Black.

And we can't talk about Aliens without talking about some of the real nutcase "humans" that are out there. Have you ever heard of Sherry Shriner? She's one our great Christian Soldiers who's on a lifelong crusade to save humanity from aliens and bring us all back to Jesus Christ.

And, did you know that in the winter of 2013, the Russian government admitted to working with Aliens? We'll see what they had to say.
