Answering vovl-concisus below, I will like to add that is also a normal practice for modern Islam leaders or just for the masses, like in the case of this normal astronomer, to re-interpret the Koran for gratuitous no-sensical goals...

Ok, the fool said "Anything that has no indication in the Koran is false." Well, does the Koran say that the Earth is flat. I don't think so, I don't think it states the shape of the Earth, so he contridicted himself with that statement.

Besides the right to believe in fantasy .. Santa Claus or something else, what really bothers me in the video above, among other issues, is the emphasis on the fact that since the Koran is revealing that the Earth is flat & so on ..., this fact needs to be necessarily true!!... This kind of blind attitude will bring us back to the time of Roman Church Inquisition at least ...!!

Wow... that's incredible. And yet no more moronic than the religious rhetoric we're subjected to here in the states. Like debating the shape of the Earth, I feel that debating the science of evolution vs. creationism is a waste of 21st century human brainpower. Everyone has a right to believe in anything they want, but claiming that there's any kind of REAL science supporting creationism is pushing religion upon the unwilling no matter how you want to slice it.
