Wicca Official Worldwide Community of Pagans Wiccans & Neopagans

Wicca Wiccans Pagans and Free Souls.. live different.. be Neopagan!

i know that there are many of us, myself included, in the community that are new to neo-paganism.

i guess what my dilemma is, is that i was raised (like most people in the southern US) as a christian. in that religion, you have guidance. i feel lost. i have so many ideas and beliefs, but i don't know where to begin. i began reading about paganism (generically, mind you) and for the first time in my life, things made sense. the majority of my friends and family are christian, so i am familiar with what they refer to as being "saved". i can't really describe it, but i knew the minute i began reading, it dawned on me and felt like i was "coming home" so to speak. i have had the same beliefs since i was about 13 and i am 25 now...i am sure many of you can understand the excitement of finding your place after 12ish years. like i said i have so many ideas, however one thing i am interested in is the actual use of magik and herbal healing. i believe that the use of magik is key to connecting with the ancient power (i know people have their own names, that is just what i use). i see it as a way to communicate needs, wants, appreciation, pleas, etc.

i would appreciate anyone who may be able to help me. i am at a point in my life where i need to further this exploration and grow spiritually. i am new and most likely naive, but like i said any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. most often i feel likei could explode with my ideas. luckily, my family is receptive. i am kinda the "gray" sheep of the family. they all know i am the free spirit, i guess you could say. so they let me be me, which i am so grateful for.

so that is a little about me....i was born and raised in north little rock, arkansas...right smack dab in the bible belt. i guess i am just looking for others who i can talk to and who understand where i am coming from. thank you for listening to my ramblings.

I too grew up in a Christian home.I was born and raised in Independence, Missouri about ten minutes from downtown Kansas City so I understand the whole bible belt mentality. The pagans who do live here are very solitary so meeting other pagans is difficult.
i am not new here but i am new about this culture because i am so far from it but i belive and i am here.wellcome
