How important is it for you to have a relationship (dating or more serious) with someone "neopagan" or "wiccan" etc?

Valentine's Day - Makes me think of Dating & Relationships - Please Comment...
All this Valentine's activity and fun reminds me of many blogs I've seen in this community by wiccan or neopagan men or women who are dating someone that is not wiccan or pagan, and the issues that arise between them....

How important is it for you to have a relationship (dating or more serious) with someone "neopagan" or "wiccan" etc?
Has it benefitted you to date someone "outside the circle" or the opposite?
What problems did you experience? What did you learn, good or bad?
Have you ever used love spells or magik to get the relationship? Or to improve or change the relationship? What or how?
How does magik fit into the relationship?

Thanks in advance for sharing!

I would really prefer it, but as long as the person I was with respected my practice I would go out with a non neopagan/wiccan

Hi. Absolutely! Infact I just now back after a leave and am going to reply in this message for you because I have so much to do!!! You can post it there if you like and I will for sure stop by the forum ASAP as well. Thanks ahead for understanding. Jen. =)

I dont feel like it is that important
when I think about it. But I must
admit that in my relationships I must
be with someone who understands me,
and I understand, on a metaphysical level.
Without that I dont feel I can fully share
or open up spiritually. There is not much
better than getting to spend everyday
with someone who understands you, with
no unsaid judgments. And it seems that
no matter how much a partner may claim
there are no "un-said judgments", I can tell
when a person may be feeling uncomfortable etc...
Not to mention that I like to share and practice
with my partner. Or, should I say "if I have one"
It is going to be with someone who I can learn from,
and who learns from me, with a genuine "want" to
learn on both sides. *much love to you* Jen....
I miss having a special relationship with anyone. Neopagan is such a broad term that I almost prefer the objective term, Spiritually Flexible as long as the Not Deliberately Causing Harm Premise is intact.
> Whether someone labels themselves Unitarian, Wiccan, Neopagan, Solitary, New Age, or (The list goes on....) It is important to me that they hold tolerance and joyful learning and sharing as core central.
I believe that it is very important to date or have a relationship with someone involved in the Craft. However, I do not think it's an absolute necessity. I have dated both sides and have had meaningful relationships with both. The only thing I see as a problem with someone who is not a pagan, wiccan, etc., is that they tend to be too closeminded and not willing to let you practice in the way that is most comfortable for you. Whether that is because they themselves are uncomfortable with it or they don't believe in it or whatever the case may be.
Again I just want to THANK YOU ALL for your open, sometimes tender, passionate and cool responses to this little question I threw out there.

It appears we all want someone who is open-minded and we want to be understood.... Basic human values which even though simply put, can be hard to find in another soul who matches us in other ways also.

MUCH APPRECIATION goes to you all, and future posters, of this Forum discussion.
Sorry the late answer, but what I think: My chances to find what I want on a non-pagan person is minimal. Just it... Really minimal, I think...

What I want? Take a look on the musics I've created on my blog and catch it up: Beloved Curse - BlogSpot
