So this may be a weird one for you but dose anyone have the answer?

I'm new here, I thought I might ask this question that may sound weird but hey why
not right? As far has Chaos god or goddess? My research is very
conflicting I'm looking for the Greek version. Thx for you time

Chaos is neither god nor goddess. Chaos is from the Greek word Khaos, meaning "gaping void". There are many explanations as to who or what Chaos is, but most theories state that it was the void from which all things developed into a distinctive entity, or in which they existed in a confused and amorphous shape before they were separated into genera. In other words, Chaos is or was "nothingness."

Khaos was born in a fog and is considered a mix of air and water. Khaos is the great void through which all things were made, Khaos is often referred to as a goddess and is believed to be the mother of Gaia, Tartarus, Erberus, Nyx, and Eros. There was no cult of myth that worshiped her and some wrote only of Khaos as an empty void, others wrote of her as a goddess and spoke of her as a mother. Both views I believe are correct, it's hard for us to comprehend but Khaos is an intelligent aware entity and also nothingness.

no one really knows what or who chaos is. from what i understand some believe him( i think hes a god) to be nothing and others believe that he was air. but choas (also known as tartaros) was nothing but everything at the same time. there was no seperation of anything all was one one was all and all was nothing and nothing was everything. he was basically the formless state of the universe. then phanes came and brought everything to light that was once hidden in darkness and once was not, but now was.. from chaos he seperated the four elements air water earth and fire and the universe became organised. if you dont understand this think of chaos as white light all the colors are there in it but they are jumbled up and disorganized to such an extent that they are not even distuishable as if there not there at all and think of phanes as a prism which takes the white light and seperates it into its respective parts....understand now? i guess im not the best at metaphors or whatever they are...lol so once phanes seperated the elements and after the other dieties were formed from him he just became a yawning abyss that later became tartarus...

nyx and erebus her brother and consort both came for khaos which is air or in one case nothingness. i was also taught that nyx gave birth to many diety some including atmosphere,day,death and sleep.she also was said to be more powerful than the king of gods.
