Merry Meet Zoey,
I feel you; I had the same issue and for the longest time tried to live up to the standers of those I love...it was really a my way or the high way kinda of thing with my natural family. But I got to the point where I was living a lie. I didn't have their beliefs nor did I want to...so why should I finally asked myself and was relieved that it was at a time in my life when my internal and external answers were the same...I didn't have to I wasn't being true to myself which is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. Who else is going to live your life? Follow your heart, listen to your soul and it will lead you where you need to go.
Blessed Be

Hi and Merry Meet,
I am new. I don't go to church or really practice religion but I believe in heaven and males have a god while females have a goddess. I believe my goddess in Nyx, and she watched over me helping me stay positive and making right choices. My family gives me a hard time. They think it's foolish, I don't know If i should believe in Pagism or not...What should I do?
Blessed Be

Advice? Hmm.
1. Beware crusaders.
2. Beware of those who are morally superior or who boast about how many degrees they have.
3. Keep the faith. If my gods/goddesses let me down, I remind myself I am not the only person in the world and that probably somewhere it is at least partly my fault. Then again they do seem to be capricious.
4.Study love in all its forms. This is never wasted time. Study it until you can write a doctoral thesis on the subject. All along of course, apply what you learn to your real life.
5. I learned something important from medieval Catholic doctrine, which is the 7 Corporal Works. That is, it is morally incumbent upon us to: feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, shelter the homeless, clothe those who are naked (presumably those who want to be clothed), visit those in prison, visit the sick, and bury the dead. There are many ways to dispose of the dead, of course, and we can interpret this in our own way. I find these guidelines challenging and useful.

I am a solitary practicing witch looking for others to talk to and share ideas and experiences with... I just recently moved to my area and don't know many yet... advice, stories and new friends is what I am seeking. I am also trying to incorporate the goddess and god in all their aspects into my daily life a bit more often. I am trying to "walk the talk" as Silver likes to say. Any advice form anyone?

Hi everybody. I've been a goddess worshiper for a long time - came to it through Hindu mythology - Laxmi was the one I worshiped. I have a wiki devoted to her and her virtual twin Aphrodite - http://worshipaphrodite.wetpaint.com
Who is the most popular goddess here?

Sorry that I have not been around to welcome everyone, I have been super busy, and the computer has been the last thing on my mind. But ...I would now like to welcome everyone and hope that you are all having a great new year!
