Wicca Wiccans Pagans and Free Souls.. live different.. be Neopagan!

I googled this phrase to see if anyone else has had this experience and here I landed. i've tried tarot, palm reading, crystal balls, ruins...but I feel that my spirit guide speaks to me thruogh music and I wondered if this has happened to anyone else. For example...I'm going through a breakup that has me more emotionally paralyzed than I have ever been. Suddenly yesterday my ipod malfuntions and only plays the last 15 seconds of a song by Maroon 5. Over and over and over. It was way wierd. It's a song I downloaded but never listened to and has just been waiting for the right moment to present itself. I guess. So after resetting my ipod I fix the glitch but decide to investigate the song further. As it turns out it's a cover of a Beatles tune, written by Paul McCartney who my ex just happened to go see last week. The song is called "If I fell in Love With You". I went to my ex's myspace and his profile song is a live version of "let it be" sung by...Paul McCartney. This song was definately a message for me. This isn't the first time I've related to music in this way. Sometimes I play a song over and over and I'm not sure why. Usually it isn't just the song who is speaking to me but the artist or performer...I feel I tap into their energy as part of my divination tool. Like the personality of the artist, or their physical characteristics reminds me of something or gives me impressions. It's so hard to explain, but I wondered if anyone else experiences this type of paranormal or phsycic...whatever it is. Thoughts?

Clarification. Why this song is so significant is that the man in question lives with another woman...has for years. I was a year long affair. But I believe he is my soulmate. The particular lyrics that were stuck were:
So I hope you see
I would love to love you
And that she will cry
When she learns we are two
If I fell in love with you, yeah
No,no,no
*smile* I am a musician - a guitarist, more precisely - and can relate to this. A lot of the time, there are certain songs I can listen to/play with dependent on my mood. I'm not sure about actual divination with music, but occasionally lyrics can be prophetic, and certain styles of music - instrumental or not - has a profound effect on moods. One of my interests is in bardic magick because music is not only central to this practice, but it is also a part of me and has been all my life. With or without lyrics, music has great power (think of the "Christian" music industry; I used to be very familiar with it) and can uplift from the lowest point, or bring one to their knees. Follow this idea of yours and explore it to its deepest point; it can only grant you further knowledge and it might even lead you to becoming an innovator here.

Merry meet again!
Hmmm... Tell me, as a musician, have you concidered the numerology factor of music? Beats, rhythms, it's all numbers. Have you thought about applying that kind of power to your music?
*small chuckle* Vaguely funny that you mention it because I do have good math skills, but I was never big on music theory and was never formally trained. My take on music is much more ethereal and intangible; I look for the feel of a song and usually don't bother with sheet music (that I can't read) or tablature because a lot of a song gets lost in the translation from sound to paper. That, though, is simply my style, and all perspectives differ.
okay but I'm not speaking of music just for music's sake, which differs from using music as a magician's tool. Think of how you could apply music to magic and how much more powerful that magic could be with the use of not just the feel but the numbers of that music. It's just an idea I've been toying with.
Ok this really wierd thing just came to me. I may be freaking crazy but what the hell. The difference between musician and magician... 2 letters, the first being the difference between the letter "a" and the letter "u" the math would say 20. Next is the letters between c and g. the number 4. I'm having trouble connecting all the dots but I KNOW I am on to something. Musicians with magical background, help me connect these dots!!!!
