Wicca Wiccans Pagans and Free Souls.. live different.. be Neopagan!

I decided to get out this morning and give my poor old camera a little exercise. I live right next door to a park that's situated right at the junction of the Licking and Ohio Rivers. That's where I go most often with the camera, because it's so easy to get to, which explains why I have so many duck and goose pictures.

Today, I mainly was after the ring-billed gulls. This time of year you usually find them around here.

In the summer months, they live up around the Great Lakes and Canada, but when they head south for the winter, this is where they come.

One of the things I like about them is that they are constantly flying around and I love to get shots of birds in flight.

Of course, this morning they had to share the river with some other strange creatures.

Then a barge came up the Ohio River and turned into the Licking River.

It's always fun to watch the barges turn. This one wasn't very long. The long ones are cool. They have to get a second boat to come along and push them around from the side.

Heading off to the 4th Street Bridge and beyond....

The second and third are really nice. I like the focus on the gulls and the blur on the background. It really makes the birds look much nicer. I love pictures of birds in midlanding like the third.
very cool... the first gull shot makes me feel like how I fly in dreams or must be what its like during astral flight.... mmmm thanks for these
