Hmmm, I think I have to disagree that there shouldn't be any symbology for religions on the headstones but agree with the fact that 38 doesn't cover all of them. I think in giving one's life for one's country, you should have no problem whatsoever having whatever you wanted inscribed on your headstone. It's a minimal request for the honorable service rendered, my goodness. I think there should be no restrictions whatsoever, even if that means accepting unknown or unliked or unpopular symbols because these folks GAVE THEIR LIFE.

I don't know if this is out of line or not? There are hundreds of religions and even more branches of the hundreds of religions. I understand peoples desire to put their symbol on their headstone, but 38 out many is not fair. This would be much easier if they banned the practice all together and had blank stones with name, rate, and branch of service.
