O.K. Kids..how about a Tarot Discussion?
I have been reading for well over 20 years and I love it. I didn't want to start at first but my aunt talked me into it. I was actually afraid of it. We were never allowed to use Ouija boards as kids. My aunt used to tell us the spirit world was nothing to mess with when you didn't know what you were doing and when you open the door for spirits to come waltzing in you may not like who you get. I was also taught that all people have different talents and SEE things very differently. No two tarot readers work alike, just as no two minds work alike. So I learned to set aside the Tarot books once I had a general idea of what the suites meant and started studying the cards for what they showed me. I learned to hear them and see them and allow them to shift my mind into a wonderful type of dream state. Visions flash and I just start describing them and that is how it works for me. I also Love astrology and make sure I understand what sign a person is before I read for them. I know a Leo will react differently than a Libra will....trust me on that one....

How about we Start with the Suite of Swords...any Takers....

Please make note that the Queen is not considered a Major card by many...I think of all the face cards as the "upper level" of power in the deck....

I have found that over the years education makes a huge difference. While learning to read I studied Astrology as well as runes in depth. Signs come in so many forms. When reading I have come to know the Major
Arcana cards to be signs of things to come in the very near future. If there are a great number of Major cards in the reading I am aware or get the feeling that the person I am helping is very close to something and will more than likely happen soon.
Swords have always come to me as aggression, motion and social happenings. Many times in the inverted state they show me signs of strife due to drama or emotional intrigue. In the up right position they signal (for me) the ability to get off one's keester and start changing their lives. Like our beloved Air signs, these cards are about the ability to multi-task.
Queen. - She is a bad girl for me.in many good ways..if she is upright I know that the person I am reading for had great influence over someone else (remember all cards play different depending on where they are positioned in the reading. The card before or after can tell you a great deal as to her mood. If an overall reading had a number of Major feminine cards throughout the reading I will pick up the story of a strong female in the life of my reader.
Make sure to USE your feelings. They are very real. Think of it like when you were a kid coming home from school, you walk into the house and you somehow automatically know something is up...your mind usually starts to click along and sort through your information to answer your questions naturally...

If you have read please share you feelings on our Queen of Swords. Everyone reads differently and it is always great to see how other people SEE...

Getting to know your cards personally is a wonderful tool. With our Queen of Swords...I picture a woman Like Ann Boleyn..a woman of great intelligence but that sometimes does not think about what type of sway she has over others and lets it get out of hand.

By the way..loving this Productive discussion !!

Bright Blessings! I have only really been studying tarot for about 3 years. My readings are quite accurate. I dabbled as a kid but I grew up in a Christian Household so I never really Got back on my path until both my parents had passed.I have been studying Wicca for about 5 years now.
The suit of swords...representative of the element of air, East, communication, and intellect. The Page can represent a young air sign. For all you wishing to learn, I have found that sometimes (but not always) any face card can represent actual people- Page= young, child Knight= Young Man, Queen= Mature woman, King= Mature man.
