@Rowan, please do post pictures of them here. I would love to see them and who knows, I may want to purchase one.

Oh boy..now I am confused...good thing my hips work better than my brain..heheh

I used to have a Medieval Middle Eastern vending company and we closed out and I am desperately trying to get rid of this stuff...so Can I post pictures..or just my private e-mail and if anyone is interested they can write me for more info..how does that sound?
Bless my Belly Goddesses.

Sorry it has been so slow in here, I think that happens very often with the holidays. I know I have had very little time for the computer these past few weeks. So welcome to anyone that I have missed and I hope everyone is having a great new year so far!

Welcome Elanna...that is exactly what I love about fusion...I feel like I am dancing for me first then the audience. With cabaret I felt like I was soley dancing for the audience, especially the men. I am sure there are cabaret sisters that dance for themselves, it was just my personal view on it for myself.

Welcome William, that is wonderful that you are drumming. When of our local girls dances to her husbands live drumming, and it is always a treat to watch.

Welcome eveyrone! Sorrry I hadnt posted sooner, but I havent had much time online the past couple of days. Let me introduce myself. I go by Aine online and in the bellydance community. I have been pagan for 21 years and dancing for about 7 years. I fell in love with bellydance when I was in my early 20's. We have a huge bellydance festival here in Salt Lake every year, it lasts for 3 days, and has been going for over 25 years, so thats how I was exposed to bellydance. I wish I had started dancing then, but it seemed so far out of my reach at the time. Then I moved to Arizona and started going to the big Renn Faire there and fell in love wth bellydance all over again....eventually I decided to get into classes. My youngest daughter started dancing a few months after I did, she was 8 at the time and she has turned into quite the talented little dancer, she has danced in shows with Tempest and Rachel Brice...I am pretty proud of her, to say the least.
I started out studying Egyptian Cabaret, but I truly love Fusion and that is what I have mostly studied. I also do costuming for our troupe, which I enjoy also.
I truly believe that this is the dance of Goddesses, and I love it.
