Wicca Wiccans Pagans and Free Souls.. live different.. be Neopagan!

Often I will hear of an atrocity that one human has done to another... or to a child or animal. When I hear of these things my first response has always been "I don't get it" or "I don't understand how someone could do that". Someone told me once... "Be thankful you don't get it, or don't understand it. If you did... you would be just like them!"

I thank Goddess... I don't get it!

I share your feelings. Remember when we were little, and there was a scuffle in the sandbox? We usuallly managed to work it out without the interference of the adults. When do we lose that ability? Is it when we first realize the cruelty that exists in the world. The best we can do is teach others by the example of our own lives. I always smile to myself when people I meet make the comment that I seem so spiritually centered, caring, in essence, all the traits christians seem to think they have a corner on, and then....to see the looks on their faces when they realize I'm wiccan/pagan. I work hard to walk my talk as it were, but it is so hard when I see those atrocities, and I instictively wish to become the Destroyer to defend the weak and punish the evil, but that is not the way. It only adds more pain. So I center and focus my eneregies toward healing the damage.
